Bug: can't create time block

I've been having a problem creating new time blocks if they overlap with any recurring time blocks I have, even if I deleted the recurrence for that day. I'm trying to update my work hours today because I worked a half hour, for example, so I deleted my normal recurring work hours block and tried to make a new one just for the day, but keep getting this error:
