This sounds a bit counter-intuitive: getting bigger bonus when delaying a task (=procrastinating)?

Sounds weird to me as well.
I believe the logic behind it is to motivate the person to finally complete that task because there is going to be a bigger xp bonus if they just get it done after avoiding it for some time.
If anything, there should be a punishment system that would decrease the xp reward each day you postpone a task due to procrastination. And if something out of your control was preventing you from finishing that task there could be some option to mark that task as “on hold” so you wouldn’t get the xp penalty.
I think increasing the xp as the days go by for no reason doesn’t really push you to start actually getting serious about the things you have to do, it just opens the door to self sabotage.
