I think it’s still far too long and should be optional. It seems like you’re doing a survey to find out what kind of people sign up for your app, rather than showing them what the app does and how to use it. It’s very off-putting.

Thanks a lot for the feedback. It’s high on my priorities to overhaul the onboarding.

If you could only keep certain things in the onboarding and make it less off-putting, what would remain?

The reason I started going through it again was that I accidentally signed in with the wrong account (Google or Apple) and was trying to get through the screens so I could get to the app and delete the account I’d just accidentally created. There was no way to exit or skip, just a lot of questions about my biggest struggles, how I feel about time, how I heard of the app etc. Maybe you want the answer to that last question but I don’t see how the others are relevant. Also, I think the first screen said something like “remember when games were fun?” but not everyone is or was a gamer.

Fully agree about the gamer aspect.

The first questions are for me to know who naturally is tempted in trying out the app, but I agree they arent really useful right now. Only later if I use it to actually customize the app experience.

The last question I will definitely keep just to know where people come from.

By the way, were you able to log back in in your older account?
Because once you are logged back in, in the settings, you can associate your google account with it so you can also start using google sign in.

And please do let me know if you encounter any annoyances in the app, even slight. I’ll keep on improving the app.
