Show unscheduled tasks in timeline

I have some tasks that are not scheduled for a specific day, but I’d like to be reminded of them in the timeline. Maybe they could show up at the bottom, as some sort of reminder “hey, this is something that needs to be done sometime”.

    Can you provide an option to “filter” the task list (when in the task tab) by status or by project or by scheduled date, etc

    Currently the only filter (when in a Life Role) is to select “show done tasks” and/or “show done / archived projects”.

    I would like to see scheduled tasks, or unscheduled tasks (i.e. my “To-Do” list)

    Hi! in the new update, you can now see overdue and past planned items.

    Although it is not exactly what you asked for I hope it helps as well.

    I might still implement this exactly later on and I will make it optional @Ema Meden @mt-rein

    I’d also like to be able to add unfinished tasks/projects/activities to timeline. Not only to have option of creating new tasks there. My example i’m writing a conference article and this task has a deadline but otherwise i dont know how long it is going to take me and which days i will be able to work on it… i dont know it it falls into the category of “recurring” only unfinished.

      Hi Ema, thanks a lot for the suggestion.
      If I understand correctly, you would like to be able to schedule tasks/projects/activities on the timeline?

      For now the way I would do it is to create a task, plan it for today, and just start tracking it whenever you work on it, but you “stop” tracking it when you stop working, and don’t mark it as done.

      However there is a bug when tasks have both a deadline and a planned date that I need to fix.

        Hi, I’m using timeline as a to-do list. I put tasks in for the day and then move through it tracking the time. It would be nice to be able to put unfinished tasks in there and not just new ones.

          Normally you should be able to do this currently by rescheduling the unfinished tasks - can you confirm to me it works the way you want it? If not I can record a video for you. And if I misunderstood your needs, let me know of course

          Or would you like to have a view somewhere that shows the “tracked but unfinished” tasks and have an option to easily add them to the timeline?

    Yeah. Or create the option to search for Tasks with t-different status: Done, In Progress, Outstanding, No deadline, No scheduled date, scheduled date, no date at all, …

    Thanks for the suggestion!
    I should be able to add it easily.
    Perhaps it could be something that can be turned on or off since not all users might want it.

    I could put a modal at the bottom of the page that when clicked upon would expand and show the unscheduled tasks, perhaps ranked by XP.
